PRESENT POST FROM MARCH 1985: ''I am appointed from 1985 as Consultant Physician/Geriatrician at Chorley and South Ribble Trust. I was the first Consultant to be appointed for this Health Authority after its conception. I am currently responsible for large numbers of acute medical emergency admissions. I am also responsible for the rehabilitation unit, day hospital and continuing care.
CURRENT WORK: Unselected emergency on call 1:9 with admission under my care around 20-35 per on call day. I am running the first multi disciplinary Parkinsons clinic at weekly intervals. I am at present doing a Specialist Hypertension clinic, actively participating in teaching of all grades of Doctors. I am the trainer for the final year medical students from Manchester University. I have acted as mentor for overseas trained doctors. MANAGEMENT ROLE:
